Google Buying Youtube Rumors True?

We’ve seen the rumors before. Youtube is shopping for a buyer. The latest comes to us from Techcrunch’s Michael Arrington - Completely Unsubstantiated Googleâ?„YouTube Rumor.
Based on experience with these sort of rumors, I’d put this at 40% likely to be at least partially true.
With Google’s recent entry into the user generated video arena, in direct competition with Youtube, I think it would be a good move for them to buy it, especially since G has been collecting data on the sites profitability via AdSense ads displayed on the site.
AdSense on massive community sites = Google collecting preleminary ad revenue and profitability stats.
Pontificate all you want all you pseudo Web 2.0 pundits. AdSense ads are the perfect pre-takeover tool
