Link Notes for Monday, Jan. 29/07

Written January 29th, 2007 by Paul in General

I’ve often thought of doing a daily link post on one of the blogs, so now is as good a time to start as any.

These posts will be a collection of links to stuff I think may be interesting or notable for readers, but won’t be doing a full post on myself. They’ll consist of a handful of links with a sentence or two of my own commentary included.

So, here we go…

MarketingPilgrim.com - MyBlogLog Straining Under the Load?
Andy talks about how MyBlogLog.com is slowing down his blog and how they need to address the issue if they want to keep their growth momentum. I agree. This is one of the reasons I rarely use widgets or apps dependant on an outside server. Slowness I have no control over.

Aaron @ Threadwatch points to a post on DailyDomainer.com that discusses how some domainers are developing their parked domains using Web 2.0 and user generated content. Cool! Will we soon be seeing the end of those gawdaweful lists of searchfeed type links on parked domains?

Ebay Scam Alert! - Tiago @ Gadgetizer.com talks about how some domain name sellers on Ebay are misrepresenting the spelling of domain names to boost up bids and possibly rip off less astute buyers. Bastards.

From Revenews.com - Microsoft Developing Online Payment System
So Microsoft is planning on going head to head with PayPal and Google in the online micropayments niche?

That’s all for now folks. I’ll be trying to get each list up to about 10 links or so with my own blurbs over time. If you find this type of post useful (or not), let me know in the comments.
