Funniest Ebay Feedback Ever!

Written April 27th, 2007 by Paul in General

This has to be some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen in a long time. It’s feedback a particular person has been leaving for ebay sellers. Check it out!

BO-Blogging

Written April 27th, 2007 by Paul in General

For the love of all things great and holy. I hope I never have to see the inside of another MySQL database for as long as I live.

I’ve been up for 20+ hours moving sites, my retnas are scorched from screen radiation and I’m badly in need of a shower (maybe I should delete that…). The life of an online entrepreneur ain’t all the uninitiated masses think it is.

Whoever the heck thinks dot com moguls and web startup kiddies are living the high life on a beach somewhere drinking fruity concoctions with little umbrellas sticking out of them is either on crack or they don’t know what they’re talking about. (Nicely butchered sentence, eh?)

But dudes and dudettes, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, it’s off to the showers and bed for a few hours, and right back at it again.

Ahhh, beautiful!

I’m moving to California

Written April 24th, 2007 by Paul in General

Ok, well, not physically. I’m moving this site to a hosting company whose servers are located in Southern California.

So what hosting company would a geeky Canadian blog dude choose?

Mediatemple, of course.

Total Honesty is Better than Disclosure

Written March 25th, 2007 by Paul in General

This is faaaaarrrrrr better than some stupid disclosure policy. It’s on the about page of my new site, and I really don’t fuckin care whether you all think it’s immature or not. It stays:

“I’ve always had an informal, almost childlike fascination with how the web has progressed since first logging on in the mid 1990’s, especially with how actual users are adopting certain areas, sites and applications. My views always come from a position of wondering about the possibilities. I use (and will always use) words and phrases like ‘cool, fascinating, I wonder, what if, I think, etc.’ frequently in my writing here at TNM and if anyone thinks of my style as unprofessional or amature, I take that as a compliment more than as a dig. If you want old media journalism, go to a newsstand and pick up some dead-tree propaganda.

To my younger readers… sorry ’bout the swear words above. It ain’t like you haven’t heard of or seen them before. Never use them in inappropriate situations. Besides, you’d be better off being honest in this day and age. It will set you far ahead of 99.99% of what you read or see on TV.

Site Split Colors for Guys & Gals

Written March 9th, 2007 by Paul in General

Hypothetically speaking…

If you were building a site that had photos of guys in one section and girls in another, but the purpose of the girls section was to have guys looking at the photos and vise versa, what color theme would you use for each section?

Would you make the section ‘containing’ the pics of guys blue and the girls side pink?

If the above were the case, mostly guys would be seeing the pink version of the site and the girls would see blue.

Anyone?
